MOTOR VEHICLES FUEL PRICES (Start of a fact-finding investigation)
PRESS RELEASE
The Italian Competition Authority, taking into account the findings of recent on going investigations and current market trends, has begun a fact finding investigation on fuel price setting mechanisms that have evolved in the Italian market as well as on the mechanisms through which pricing information is transmitted to the final distribution stage.
In the period to come, the representatives from the major oil companies will be summoned to take
part in hearings.
