RENEWAL OF WEB SITE FOR ANNUAL REPORT
PRESS RELEASE
PRESS RELEASE
For this year's annual report the Antitrust Authority's Internet site has been renewed
The Antitrust Authority has renewed its web site (www.agcm.it). The new site will be brought on-stream on 25 May when the Annual Report is issued, and published on the web site after the Chairman, Giuseppe Tesauro, has delivered his address in the Sala della Lupa in Palazzo Montecitorio.
The first change is in the graphics, rendering them more functional and facilitating the retrieval of information and documents. A new section has also been introduced containing the latest novelties and developments.
For the future dissemination of information, the Authority has various measures to guarantee greater transparency by posting on the Internet the text of its decisions (measures and reports) when the relevant press releases are posted. Naturally, this will only be done after notice of the measures has been served on the parties in question, and will also take account of the need to protect any confidential information contained in the document.
Statistics on access to the site reveal a growing interest in it, which is obviously beneficial in terms of enhancing the transparency of the Authority's work, and its cost-effectiveness by economizing on the human and financial resources traditionally used to answer enquiries from the public.
