The Italian Competition Authority has learned today with regret that its Secretary General, Prof. Fabio Cintioli, is to resign effective 1 August 2007.
The Authority will greatly miss the contribution of this exceptionally capable professional whose skills extend beyond antitrust matters to all aspects of public, private and Community law.
The Authority wishes to extend its heartfelt thanks to Prof. Cintioli for his invaluable contribution in the process of establishing the new principles of competition law and the steady loyal role he has played in its ongoing institutional activities.
The Management Committee wishes Prof. Cintioli all the success he deserves in whatever future activity he may decide to undertake.
