ANTITRUST AUTHORITY:  COMPANY BOSSES ONCE AGAIN ANSWER CONSUMERS’ QUESTIONS ON-LINE

Wind’s CEO Luigi Gubitosi in the Authority’s call-center today

The presence today of Wind’s CEO, Luigi Gubitosi, in the Antitrust Authority’s call-center marks a new start for on-line answers by companies’ top managements to consumers’ complaints about poor service and improper commercial practices.
By way of this direct contact between users and businesses, the Authority aims to encourage rapid solutions to individual cases, without prejudice to the Authority’s powers to punish misconduct.
Gubitosi’s visit follows on from those of the CEOs of Telecom, Franco Bernabé, and Vodafone, Pietro Guindani: of the 7,944 complaints received by the call-center from November of last year, 3,922 (or 49.3%) had to do with the telephone industry.
The coming weeks will see interventions by CEOs from the country’s largest banks and the CEO of Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato (State Railways), Mauro Moretti.
