PRESS RELEASE

SCHOOL:  SECOND EDITION OF THE "I WON'T BITE!" PROJECT UNDER WAY, ORGANIZED BY THE ANTITRUST AUTHORITY IN COLLABORATION WITH THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, UNIVERSITIES AND RESEARCH.

Targeted at students in public and private primary and secondary schools.

The Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, is offering the "I WON'T BITE" project once again this year after a turnout of 51 schools and around 2342 students in 2010. The project is designed to sensitize primary and secondary school students to the issues of competition and consumer protection.

In its second edition, this initiative centers on a form of "door to door" education as Antitrust officials take on the role of visiting teachers at schools that request them, with students writing papers to sum up what they learned during the course.

The final deadline for applications is 18 February 2011.

Prizes will be awarded for the best papers as rated by a Panel of experts.  More information is available on the Antitrust Authority website, www.agcm.it.
