PRIOR NOTIFICATION OF CONCENTRATIONS: UPDATING OF TURNOVER THRESHOLDS

The Competition Authority has decided that with effect from today, 10 March 2014, the turnover "thresholds", over which prior notification of concentrations becomes mandatory, will amount to 489 million euros for the turnover implemented at a national level by all the undertakings involved in the transaction and 49 million euros for the company which is expected to be purchased.

The increase in the value of the "thresholds" corresponds, as provided by Article 16 of Law 287/90, to the increase in the index of the price deflator of the gross domestic product, which is 1.44%, according to the data published by ISTAT for 2013.
