ANTITRUST AUTHORITY LAUNCHES TWO INVESTIGATIONS INTO TIM AND VODAFONE FOR ACCESSORY SERVICES WITH FEE
The Antitrust Authority has launched two investigations in order to ascertain the unfair nature of the conduct in which conditions have been changed for the provision of ancillary services known as "Chiamami" and "Recall" of Vodafone and "Losai" and "Chiamaora" of Tim, for which it charges made.
The companies could, in fact, have violated the provisions of the Consumer Code, under which the acceptance of the offer of services for a fee, at the time of a change in the conditions of use of the same or signing of new contracts, must be based on mechanisms that ensure the consumer's express consent. This conduct may also result in unsolicited supplies. In addition, the message sent by Vodafone to consumers could have been misleading about the actual costs of the service.
