INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED ON CONCENTRATION LIBERO-SEAT PAGINE GIALLE

The Antitrust Authority has decided to launch an investigation on the acquisition of control of Seat Pagine Gialle by Libero Acquisition. The former is active in the field of advertising and in the provision of local communication services, mainly in Italy; the latter is the holding company of a group of companies that operate in the field of internet advertising and digital services.

The investigation is intended to ascertain whether the merger “is likely to determine, pursuant to Article 6 of Act No. 287/90, the constitution or the strengthening of a dominant position in the market of subscriber service information via telephone directory assistance”.

The parties will have ten days from the notification of the investigation to exercise the right to be heard during the proceedings. The investigation must be completed within forty-five days from the date of the resolution.
