ICA’S INVESTIGATION INTO THE NOTARY COUNCIL OF ROME, VELLETRI AND CIVITAVECCHIA AND INTO ASNODIM
The ICA launched an investigation into the Notary Council of the joined Districts of Rome, Velletri and Civitavecchia and into Associazione Notariato romano Dismissioni immobiliari (ASNODIM) so as to ascertain an alleged anti-competitive agreement. The proceedings concern an agreement that the two parties allegedly entered into, infringing article 2 of law n. 287/90, with the aim to allocate notary services and fix related prices during the divestment process of the public real estate patrimony.
In order to acquire useful elements for ascertaining the anti-competitive agreement, the ICA carried out inspections at the premises of the Notary Council and ASNODIM, with the aid of the ICA’s Special Unit of the Guardia di Finanza.
