Enrico Quaranta appointed Chief of Staff

Enrico Quaranta, an ordinary judge, has taken on the role of Chief of Staff of the Italian Antitrust Authority, following the Decree passed by the Italian Minister of Justice on 18 September 2019, which authorised his leave of absence.

Before joining the Italian Antitrust Authority, Quaranta held the position of President of the Bankruptcy Division of the Tribunal of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.

Previously, he had been a judge at the Commercial Tribunal of Naples since 2013 and, before that, a Bankruptcy Judge at the Tribunal of Nola.

During his professional career, he has dealt with and studied in depth competition law and industrial property rights, becoming an expert in these fields, as well as in commercial, bankruptcy and corporate law matters. He has also taught at the Scuola Superiore della Magistratura (Magistrates’ school) and participated in several conferences.

He is the author of many publications and has written numerous decisions that have appeared in specialised journals.
