Following two preliminary proceedings, the Italian Competition Authority adopted two distinct precautionary measures against Tiger Group S.r.l. e Tecnotrade S.r.l.s., which companies deal with online sales of telephony, electronics and computer products through the websites www.tigershop.it and www.tecnotradeshop.it.

The two companies were ordered to suspend all sales of unavailable products and any advance fees for goods that turn out not to be in stock in the warehouses or ready for delivery in any way.

Tiger Group S.r.l. and Tecnotrade S.r.l.s. are required to notify that they complied with the two distinct measures within 10 days of receipt.

This action is part of a broader strategy, which the Authority has been pursuing for some time, that aims to ensure a fair and balanced development of online sales, including by means of organic repression of phenomena such as not delivering regularly ordered and paid goods, putting up obstacles to reimbursing paid amounts and exercising the right of withdrawal and providing untruthful information with regard to actual purchase order status and delivery schedule.
