The initiative, funded by the Ministry of Economic Development, will end on 4 November 2021. The communication campaign also includes a meeting with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and a final event

What rights do consumers have? Who can be contacted for reporting an unfair commercial practice? To find out an answer to these and other questions on the subject, the Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato launched last November the campaign #convienesaperlo, funded by the Ministry of Economic Development (MiSE) through the Fund for initiatives for the benefit of consumers as provided for by art. 148 of the Law No. 388/2000.

The contents of the initiative, jointly curated  with MiSE, are visible on the dedicated website www.convienesaperlo.it (Instagram@convienesaperlo) and are disseminated through the Authority's social channels (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube).

The Authority, which celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2020, now aims to increase the awareness of  consumer rights and ways  to report unfair and aggressive commercial practices even among the youngest, through two competitions for students attending the lower and upper secondary schools. The teachers and students will embark on a journey that will start next October and will lead them to explore the world of consumer rights and learn about the role of the Autorità Garante della Concorrenza e del Mercato.

At the end of the course, a national competition between all registered classes will grant the chance to win  vouchers to purchase digital materials for their  class , the first of which will be worth 1,500 euros. The lower secondary school students will be asked to answer a questionnaire, while the upper secondary students will have to produce a video - lasting maximum 60 seconds - on the contents learned and which will then be shared  on the Authority's social channels

To sign up for the competition visit the website www.convienesaperlo.it and follow the instructions provided on the homepage.

Also as part of the campaign #convienesaperlo, a meeting with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) is scheduled for September. Finally, on 4 November, the final event will take place during which the winning classes of the two competitions will be rewarded.
