ICA: the meeting of the European Competition Authorities begins in Rome

On 23 and 24 September the Authority chaired by Roberto Rustichelli hosts the annual meeting, with the participation of 25 Authorities

The meeting of the ECA (European Competition Authorities), the informal network that gathers together the European Antitrust Authorities, which marks the twentieth anniversary of its establishment, begins tomorrow and will end on Friday. The event, hosted by the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), will be attended by the President of the AGCM, Roberto Rustichelli, and the heads of the Authorities of Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, European Commission, Denmark, EFTA Surveillance Authority, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom.

The members of the 25 Authorities will discuss issues concerning competition and in particular the Digital Market Act, the legislative proposal to regulate the digital economy (currently being discussed by the EU legislators) and the relationship between competition policy and sustainability objectives.
