“Today's discussions have laid the groundwork for the upcoming G7 Competition Summit to be held in Rome in the autumn,” President Rustichelli said during his closing remarks. “I would like to use the upcoming Summit,” he added, “to focus our attention on emerging technologies and artificial intelligence”. In particular, Rustichelli explained, “I propose that next year, the G7 competition agencies work together to deepen their understanding of this crucial topic, exchange experiences and knowledge, and identify potential competition issues arising from artificial intelligence”.
