Previous boards
Since its founding, the Authority has been led by a series of distinguished Chairmen.
Francesco Saja was the first to take the helm, serving as Chairman from November 1990 to July 1994. He was followed by Giuliano Amato, who held the position for three years, from November 1994 to December 1997.
Giuseppe Tesauro took over in March 1998 and remained in office until February 2005. After him, Antonio Catricalà led the Authority from March 2005 to November 2011, followed by Giovanni Pitruzzella, whose term ran from November 2011 to September 2018.
Between appointments, the most senior member of the Board stepped in as Acting Chairman.
